Exercise & Fitness

I take dance classes and I totally recommend it for anybody who wants to relax and stretch your muscles. It has brought a lot of flexibility into my life. I mean, you really train, and it's very athletic, but it's no impact. We perform an American Tribal style of dance, and it's a lot of people getting together and having fun and you don't have to do every event. I can pick and choose the nights that I go. I usually have the one night a week and I can choose the events that I want to participate in because there are a lot of us in our group. I don't have to make every practice; I don't have to make every lesson or every performance. Some nights I have to drag myself to class but when I do, I usually feel better afterwards. I've never said, "Gee, I wish didn't go to class."
Before starting any exercise program, ask your healthcare provider about safe ways to exercise—and start slowly.
